I went to the beach to take photos of something OTHER than bugs...I promise!
Unfortunately, all of the not bug photos didn't turn out very well. As I was sitting there, sort of basking in the quiet and listening to the waves, I couldn't help but notice all of the bugs that were scrummaging around in the sand.
Then I noticed this fly hovering about two inches above the sand. He moved so quickly that It was difficult to photograph him. I know he's hard to see against the sand, but I think it shows just how small he is.
I would love input as to how to photograph this type of critter better, and how to post-process more effectively.
