Solitary Remainder

We had heavy winds last week. Most of the leaves from the orchard are gone, in fact, I think they all ended up in our pool. But this one remained, and the light shining through it was beautiful!
Beautiful in its simplicity.

Thank you all so much for your lovely comments! I apologize for my dreadful delay in replying to you all; I am in the midst of preparing to move house and zoo from Cyprus to the US. The process of paring and donating, packing, and crossing all the "T's" and dotting all the "I's" required for seven animals and two humans has been all-consuming.

I bet the seven animals is taking up most of the time and paperwork - the humans and belongings would be straight forward compared to them!

@farmreporter You are not far off on that. I started the process in December because I knew I needed to have plenty of time, having been through the process when we left the US and Saudi. BUT, our shipper failed to have the same level of preparedness and didn't involve the US shipping crew until the end of February. It takes 60 days to get the required permits for the birds. We have a firm leave date of May 1st. I keep telling myself, "Lower your shoulders and breath...you are not supposed to be in control." Maybe one day it will stick... :)
