Baby bits and bobs

This baby spoon and fork set along with the bead necklace that the nurse put on me in the hospital at my birth, is my entry for the cutlery macro challenge.

As I was looking at it, I thought, "Darn! I should have polished the silver and cleaned the beads." Then I realized that they were as old as I am and I am all wrinkled and unpolished after all these years, so it was a fair representation of my life.
A very powerful image - not everything in life is roses, and sometimes it's the things that aren't that mean the most.

Wow. I'm very taken with this. Love your narrative too.

@cottiac Thank you very much. You are very right, but that is what makes a full life...highs and lows and learning how to navigate them. This is a conversation I had with our youngest just last night.

@helenhall Thank you so much for your words of praise, it means a lot.

@evalieutionspics It's something I've had to understand myself this week as it's not been an easy one.

@cottiac I am sorry to hear that; I hope it gets better and that you are gaining mad skills in how to deal with the lows. The experience gives you so much more of a perspective from which to sort things out.

@evalieutionspics Thank you! I just wish I sometimes had the 'Wisdom of Solomon' - that said life has to be lived forwards, but understood backwards.

@cottiac This is true of everyone who understands that wisdom is gained through experience but really wishes it were otherwise...as I have had to tell three sons on more than one occasion. :)
