Tree trunk decoration

This is the main trunk of our bottle brush tree.I said in an earlier post that I find it is fascinating that the thin little twigs that the flowers and seed pods form on, then become the main branches of the tree with the seed pods staying in place.

Very strange. They look like wood that has been turned and stuck back on the tree. Super shot.
