I spotted this fly on a ginormous fig leaf and proceeded to take several photos. I was all set to move in closer when a huge grasshopper jumped into the middle of the leaf, scared the fly, then jumped away.
I like the stark edge of the leaf against the shadow and the fly's little footpads. And of course, I like the looming shadow!
