I showed up to the photo shoot, but the bees all went to other locations.
I love the patch of oxalis next to the house and thought it would be easy to get a photo of a bee, so I got all focused on a flower in the midst of the patch and waited. I was up on the road, with my remote trigger, so I wasn't in the way of the bees, but they had nothing to do with my flower. They went all AROUND my flower. So after an hour, I took a photo of the flower. The interesting thing I discovered, is that there were five different kinds of bees buzzing around. How cool is that?
I found last year, that it wasn't until I stopped to try and photograph them, that I realised how different they all were. So many species that I had never previously noticed. Well the nice thing about the flower on its own, is the veins curving around from the centre of the flower, show up so well for their pattern.
