I had a seat on the swimmer's platform and took a passel of photos...and then got told off by a couple of tourists because I obviously wasn't swimming. Nevertheless, I like this image because of that color and the contrast between the steel of the pier supports and the water.
@oconeebell Thank you. It really is! I had taken photos from the end of the pier before, but it always lloked more green because I was focusing straight down toward the seabed. With the light coming through it, even the smallest amounts showed the same brilliant color. They mined copper for gadzooks years in the hill just a few kilometers from this beach. In fact, this pier was built for ships to take the ore away. I wonder if there are dissolved/suspended impurities from the mine in the sea. Of course, it's a big sea, and the wind is an awesome mixer, so I am probably barking up the wrong tree.
