Waiting for Summer by farmreporter

Waiting for Summer

These two beach chairs looked so inviting sitting in snow on the dock by the St. Lawrence River. Except, that it was -10 (Celsius) and the wind was blowing!
It was the sunshine sparkling on the water that made me stop to record it. I was hoping to get a more bokeh effect from the sparkles with my aperture set as wide open as I could.
Note to self : if you can't get bokeh, re-set the aperture to at least get the really sharp sparkles that they actually were.
Ah...summer. like how you caught the sidelight on chaor & water.

They do look inviting. And so does that water though I suspect it might be colder than it looks. Love the sparkles on the sea 😊

A
Fantastic sparkly sea! It's always really hard to get good bokeh on long focal lengths, unless the background is a really long way from the focal point

The setting is so inviting. It must be a great place to sit when there's no snow at your feet!

It really does look inviting. The sparkles look like diamonds on the water.

It looks so much like a summer scene, but then I saw the snow and read your temps...
