Teeny, Tiny Butterfly by farmreporter

Teeny, Tiny Butterfly

This butterfly makes a return each and every year. It is one of the few butterflies that is easy to photograph since it tends to stay in one place long enough to focus on. Unfortunately, it also tends to land on boring grass rather than bright and beautiful flowers.
Oh well, it is bright enough with it's bold markings and striped antennae that it brightens a photo enough, I guess! It is so small - only about 1/2 inch across but it really stands out against the grass it is hard to miss!
Oh so beautiful, Wendy!

If it landed on colourful flowers you'd never find it. Stands out beautifully here. Fab macro

It is really oretty. No need for a flower to detract from its beauty.
