Someone forgot to Shovel the Stairs by farmreporter

Someone forgot to Shovel the Stairs

This week from the 5th to the 11th, we are to pay attention to lines, shape or space and how those elements balance out a picture, draw emphasis to the subject or their proportion within the picture in order to get a sense or a feeling of our subject in a new and creative way.
We are asked to choose one of those elements and watch how they work with our subject and what kinds of feelings they bring out. I chose lines.
I remembered that there were lots of interesting lines and shapes at the Federal Building in Cornwall, but, unfortunately, someone forgot to shove the stairs. Al least you can still see the shape of the stairs in the snow.
the lines are still discernible and actually makes for a nice abstract. aces!

This looks so interesting. I love how snow changes the most ordinary scenes.

I like how the snow had begun to fall away at the corners of the steps. Makes for a cool leading line. Looks deep there too 😊

Very unusual leading line!

That's how I feel when I get home from work.. Dang the lazy cat. Good shot.

I like that the lines of the stairs are partially hidden from view--we end up imagining they must be there. The stair corner is emphasized nicely by the snow, which draws the eye in a good way. This pic evokes a feeling of warning in me, for a very practical reason--if you can't see the stairs, then don't climb them!

So great for the challenge! Hope you didn’t have to use those stairs!

Nice find, Wendy. Leaves a lot to the imagination.

Great shapes and lines. The snow has left an unusual pattern on the steps.
