Went to one of my favourite haunts this afternoon, Samphire Hoe, which is the nature reserve constructed from the millions of tonnes of chalk marl excavated to form the Channel Tunnel. The sun was dodging in and out of the clouds illuminating some of the cliffs some of the time, and never all at the same time.
