Sorry folks, been poorly, and away from my precious 365 - nothing serious and trust me, you don't need details - better now. Life had to go on and 'washed out' sums me up today...not a good time for a selfie. Added to this, a 4-year-old at school today gave me a detailed and honest run-down as to how he could tell that I was very old. It wasn't what I needed to hear. Deliberate over-exposure and cropping is concealing much of it.......!
Thank you so much for your lovely comments on my 50-pence-piece. I read and treasure every one :)
Very sorry to hear you've been poorly Phil, but glad you're well again. This is a cool selfie, I like it a lot. Kids can be so cruel. Detention is the answer!
Hang in there, Phil! Maybe washed up but not washed out! My five year old grandaughter told her father the other day that he would be a better parent if he lost weight.....they coyly added....like that would ever happen! Where do they get these attitudes!?
Hope you are on the mend and faster. You are NOT old!!! You are lovely and inspiring and this is a great shot of eyes. Love how you toned it down to look like a color drawing. Nice job!
Would it help if I reveal that in the thumbnail i thought this was a childs eyes, and continued to do so until i read your commentary? Great shot, hope you back on top form soon!
Oh- don't believe him. 4 year olds think 10 year olds are ancient! I do hope you'll be feeling better soon- both physically and mentally (so to speak- chin up and all that!). You are younger than you think and only as old as you let yourself be- and in my opinion your creativity knocks off 20 years at least! Beautiful shot and lovely eyes- with or without processing!
Sorry you've been poorly. 3 year old Great Nephew was asked how old he thought Auntie Lisa was today and he said 2 so it shows how wrong these littluns can be. On a plus this is an awesome shot. Brilliant editing. Fav xx
hope you are feeling better now.
At Christmas my 6 and 8 yo nephews asked me how old I was, I responded 21. They did not question this at all. Later in the week one asked me why I don't have a baby, I told them I was too old, and the other one looked at me and thoughtfully piped up that 21 wasn't too old to have a baby.
Love this shot Phil - glad your feeling better now ...very easy to take age comments to heart when your feeling low...l have been mistaken as my son's grandmother on quite a few occasions, it either hurts or its funny...just depends on my frame of mind at the time!!
