The end of a walk along a disused railway that has been converted into a cycle path found me in Wetherby, sitting beside the River Wharfe. Looking east through one of the arches in Wetherby Bridge revealed a busy scene with parents and children along the river bank, some sitting and enjoying the sun while some of the children paddle in the edge of the river. And me? - a rest and a drink before catching a bus back to York.
Thank you all for your lovely comments and favs - it is nice to hear from you all!
This has become a very busy place. The town centre is only a few minutes walk away, and there is a large riverside car park close by (and an ice cream van!).
