Sea, Sand .... and Steam! by fishers

Sea, Sand .... and Steam!

Another Scarborough Spa Express, and again its LMS ‘Jubilee’ locomotive, 45699 ‘Galatea’, emerging from under the roof at the north end of platform 5 at York railway station as it crosses a junction to the line to Scarborough.

This is my third shot posted this year of the Scarborough Spa Express. The others were http://365project.org/fishers/365/2019-06-21 and http://365project.org/fishers/365/2019-06-28

Again, a good crowd of photographers to record the departure, and the train itself had lots of passengers on board.

Thank you all for your comments and favs, which put this shot on the Popular Page.

We are very fortunate to see regular summer steam trains in York, although it is a shame it's the same one most of the time on the Scarborough run. There are other occasional steam charter services, so we do get a little variety.
