A rather different type of artwork today, showing the top of the cake that Katharine made for my birthday early last week.
Our grandaughter Tali wanted to make a cake with her mum Lucy and send it to me through the post, but Lucy explained that it would get damaged if sent in the post, so it was agreed that Katharine would bake me one.
The design shows someone sat in the grass close to a stream enjoying a cup of coffee, and clearly reflects my love of the countryside.
Does the postman that Tali regularly sees near their house wonder why he got a hard stare for a few days when Lucy and Tali had their discussion about making and posting me a cake?

Thank you too for the birthday wishes. With the current restrictions, it was a quiet day, but we did have video calls with our daughters and their families. The cake tasted delicious as well!
