I saw this when sat on a bench close to a pond at Rawcliffe Bar country park in York on Saturday. The pond area is now so overgrown that it is hard to tell if this is growing on the bank of the pond, or growing in the water. I did like it though, so here it is.
Thank you all for your lovely comments and favs, they are very much appreciated.
I remember when our oldest daughter was around 2 to 3 years old, she started collecting different grasses as we took her on a short walk beside the Leeds to Liverpool canal, near Leeds. She drew our attention to the small details around us. It was quite a lesson, because there is so much that we just take for granted around us all the time.

Thank you both. There were a lot of lovely plants growing around the pond at the country park.
