Unexpected Visitor

The deer usually wait until after dark to nibble away at the leftovers from the bird and squirrel feeders but today they came around early. I couldn't believe they stayed long enough for me to get several shots.
That is a great clear shot Gayle. You have such a wonderful garden for wild life.

Wonderful photo! Last fall I was staring at one, camera in hand, and I was so sure it was a statue in someone's yard, I didn't photograph it! You should have heard me when he decided to amble away! N ow that you have the seed feeder for the squirrels, you're getting lots of good visitors!

@Weezilou Thanks so much for commenting, Louise! It is so funny that you shared that story because when my husband saw the image before I posted it he said it looked artificial, like a yard statue. :-) Oh, yes! The bird and squirrel feeders are bringing lots of visitors. At one point this afternoon there were doves, sparrows, finches, cardinals, rock squirrel, and tree squirrel . . . and then about an hour later the deer arrived. I love it! I'm waiting for the hummingbirds. They have not made an appearance yet. :-)

@shirleybankfarm Thank you so much for your comment and fav, Shirley! The deer roam around my yard quite freely . . . I have to really work at keeping them away from my plants.
