Great Orange Tip Underside by gaylewood

Great Orange Tip Underside

I visited the butterfly pavilion at the zoo today and came across a new butterfly for me . . . this beautiful Great Orange Tip. The undersides of their wings are mostly a mottled brown, tricking predators into thinking the creature is a fallen leaf.
I have posted a photo showing the upper side of this Great Orange Tip in my Main album . . . https://365project.org/gaylewood/365/2017-05-17
Wonderful detail. Such a cute little face. It does look rather like a leaf on the underside. Wonderful capture.
