Maryhill Stonehenge by granagringa

Maryhill Stonehenge

Sam Hill was a visionary of roads...he pioneered building roads in places where others thought it would be impossible to do so. He was the moving force behind the scenic Columbia River Gorge highway. He also build a replica of Stonehenge as a peace monument after World War I. The full size replica overlooks the Columbia River on the Washington State side of the river.
love the frame within frames.. the resulting view is rather inviting.. great rendition of the fab textures of the stones and grasses too..
