And as for this minimalism urban challenge...how minimal can we go???? at least there is some pattern and repetition...and more variety than in my other shot for this challenge. Let me know what you think.......
I like the grunge and the textures and contrasts - but as for the minimalist bit - I still really have very little idea. Waiting to see what the finalists look like. It is a good half and half though!! :)
@robz I think the big question for me is when is minimalism brillliant versus boring????... Yeah, I could recrop it a bit for the half & half May challenge...thanks. And glad you like the grunge etc, and really always appreciate your commenting and content of the comments.! TY
For me, minimalism is all about stripping away decoration and the unnecessary, and then finding beauty in the essential elements that are left. The difficulty in the challenge is knowing how much power to exercise - through composition and omission - to create something minimalistic which may not, in its full context, be so. Not sure if that makes sense? I wouldn't like to judge for this, but it certainly has interest in the contrasts and textures.
