Clear but Toxic Waters

This is the North Santiam River; the water was wonderfully clear, and usually supplies the drinking water for Salem, Oregon...but there have been algae blooms further up river which have led to high level of cyanotoxins in the water.

I hope they have a suitable alternative drinking supply. It is a shame that this lovely clean looking water has been affected.
