I think this is number 15 in my personal tulip project. This is not what I had originally intended, but when that shot didn't work out, I decided to totally regroup. I put the camera down, walked away, watched some tennis and then tried again. It was good to clear away one image in order to get a totally different one that works, at least for me. Always appreciate your input.
I like your way of working. I read about one photographer who went on photoshoots, came home, put the camera down and did not look at what he had captured for several days. I do not have that discipline!
Beautiful soft colours. I wonder whether it could be cropped just a little bit tighter on the right hand side to omit some of the dark? Just a thought....
a very unusual and quirky image of Tulip anthers and stamen. it is refreshing to see your new photographic offering each day because of your fearlessness in tackling angles/light/situation etc that can be different and illuminating..
i'm enjoying your images and am learning a great deal from them too.. thank you..
@jorlam Ah, so they are anthers...thank you, a nicely subtle correction. And I am so glad you are enjoying these and feel I am contributing to your skills. You certainly are to mine. I just read your post on lightamateur discussion along with your comments to me and on your won posts. I really enjoy the interchange.
@louschmoo Thank you, Louise...it's a good edit suggestion; I think it would preserve proportion and yet bring the eye to the focus even more directly. So thank you. I really appreciate it. Please feel free any time.
@quietpurplehaze Thank you, Hazel...remember the old film days; it would take day before seeing the shots one had takenj....always a surprise package. Oh, how our expectations have changed. lol.
