Tulip - Painted with Light by granagringa

Tulip - Painted with Light

Trying my hand with "painting with light" - using a small mag-light flashlight in the only room that could be completely dark (the bathroom "studio"). I taped a black cloth on the wall, as otherwise the walls were way to reflective for this shot.
Beautiful image

That black cloth worked perfectly! I use the bathroom for photography a lot! Wonderful clear focus here! fav

Very nice study of tulips. The light painting has given a nice shine to the petals and stem.

absolutely love the depth of colour.. the soft light has brought out the striations in the petals, giving the form as well as shape.. great use of dark ground too..

Well, you are overflowing with ideas.... great to see. This has worked very well. Good idea to use a black backdrop... looks good and is less likely to reflect any light that accidentally gets splashed onto it
