A really bad drying day today with gusty winds & heavy showers. I tried one lot of washing out but gave up in the end & resorted to 'old faithful' the Aga. A kind neighbour made me this drying rack that fits over the top of the cooker & so it is very useful to dry washing on, sometimes you can't see the top for draped washing!!!
My Aga cooker is an oil fired model which is on all the time ,unless exceptional hot weather in the summer. It really comes into it's own during cold weather as it keeps the kitchen lovely & warm & really the whole house benefits. It also heats the water & if ever the electric goes off it still keeps working so we can always have a cup of tea & a hot meal.
My Aga is the most important thing in this house & the heart of the home !
I am going to brave the Trafford Centre in Manchester tonight with my daughter so will not be around to comment, will catch up with you all tomorrow !
I LOVE your Aga! I have been in an English home where the woman had one (on a cold blistery winter day) and that stove made the whole kitchen warm and cozy. Beautiful tile on this, Ann. Such a great and colorful photo. (Could those tiles be used for the theme-pattern?!! Just wondering. :)
Oh I love this - in fact I've faved it! All your colours co-ordinate and I'm helpless in the face of bunting OR fairy lights!! I'm kicking myself because I've missed a really nice drying day - I forgot to put the wash on because I was too busy being cross about a parking ticket! Enjoy your night out!
@judithg Thanks for the fave Judith !!! I took one with the fairy lights on but thought it a bit OTT until Christmas !! You got a parking ticket, well that was bad luck & VERY annoying !! I expect they are quite on the ball in Cambridge but still ......
A fav!
