At the bottom of one of the car parks in Garstang is the river Wyre which bends into a natural pool. The ducks on here are really tame & friendly & used to being fed & this grandad & his grandson were enjoying feeding them all with left over bread & cake.
I have not taken any photos today as it's so grey, wet & cold, instead I have been in a warm cinema watching 'Warhorse' which was an excellent film living up to it's reputation as an excellent story.
Four soggy tissues I worked my way through....!! Well it was a beautiful day in this shot! Love the way marker as well. Terrible miserable weather here too - I've just been looking desperately at today's collection and deleting!
@judithg@meisen325 I took a hanky but didn't much need it , I only felt like crying at the happy bits. I think us farmers are some what hardened to life sometimes!
What a lovely photo to have as a 'reserve'! And glad to hear you enjoyed Warhorse! We are hoping to go and see it on Saturday.
I love Michael Morpurgo's stories - met him at a conference some years ago and his books have an extra dimension to them since then!
This is such a lovely and precious scene, Pat. Beautiful perspective. Both enjoying time together . . the young and the old. I am hoping to catch that movie soon.
lovely shot Pat - there are so many film on at the moment that I want to watch - warhorse being one of them! Maybe I should strike all day tomorrow and go to the cinema instead - there is one round the corner from the client!!
