And so am I !!
Distinctly hassled today as I went to book on line & discovered although we all booked together last February they have not only booked us apart we are not even in the same part of the plane!
It would be nice if we could perhaps give each other a wave!
Spent a long tome in the travel agents trying to sort it out but no luck even though both bookings linked together & paid for together.
The only chance is to go early to the airport & hope they will move us around then.
Three good things( but is a struggle today!)
1. I have used my beauty gift voucher for a facial this morning.
2.Warm inside on this bitterly cold, dark, wet day.
3.I can't think of another yet!
A beautiful picture.
Sorry to hear you have a problem with your plane tickets. I'm sure you will get it sorted at the airport.
How lovely to have a facial. That must have made you feel good.
Hi Pat, very short on time myself but I wanted to make sure I stopped by before your departure to wish you safe travels and a Happy Happy Christmas, which no doubt you will have as you'll be in NZ with your family enjoying their compan,y the good weather andthe magnificent scenery. Hope you can post during your holiday so we don't have to miss you too much...xoxo.
Another spectacular shot, Pat! I love the sheep and love the title ~ it's so apropos of your approaching New Zealand Christmas holiday.
I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that seating can get switched around at the airport and that your little band of travelers will be placed together on the plane. How wonderful that you were able to fit in a pre-departure facial ~ so good to have an hour or so to relax and be pampered after all the stress and details of preparing for your trip. I suspect that once you are in NZ with all of your family (minus Jack), that it will be easy to find a third good thing every day...in fact I'm thinking you'll be able to write pages of good things each day you are there. :)
Are we supposed to tell you farewell now, or will you be making a post tomorrow??
@meisen325 Thank you Monica, I am not planning to post much as hoping to chill out & rest from 365. Not as easy as at home because of problems with connections specially at our youngest sons...no mobile phone connection there! Will take lots of photos though & I will miss you all!! x
@peggysirk Love the phrase 'little band of travellers' Peggy!! I was rather annoyed I must say at the carry on, normally Singapore airlines are very good & I can't understand why we aren't at least seating within sight of each other...the last time |I book at a travel agents, normally book ourselves but because there were five of us some coming home sooner than others & stopping half way we thought t best! Never mind as long as we are on the plane !! I will be posting tomorrow but not much commenting !!!!
@ruthmouch Yes I had thought of that but two are separate from three plus in another part of the plane, will appeal to the desk staff. The travel lady has been assured that the flights are linked so their fault....wouldn't care if it was only a 7 or 8 hour flight !
Sorry about your seats, Pat! I would hate it sitting next to a stranger for that amount of time! Hope they can fix it! It's raining and cold in NZ - and windy - all be gone by the time you get here! I've come to the last page in my Mum's journal but she is in Oxford and has heaps left to go! I found another journal to 1930, June. So plenty to catch up on a, Safe travels! Oh, there was a tornado that struck Aucland and Rotorua and killed three people! Not around your area though but Ak airport was affected yesterday! Bye for now!
@maggiemae My daughter in law said on FB there had been a horrible storm & she lives north of Hamilton at Morrinsville so would be in the region of where we are going. Summer will definitely arrive on the 12th December! Will keep track of mums journal maggiemae!
I usually request to sit miles away from the kids ;0). It wouldn't be a holiday if it wasn't a nightmare before hand - it's a good omen. You're going to have a brilliant time - especially a proper family Christmas. Can't wait to hear all about it!! Christmas greetings to you and yours....
@judithg Well you could be right there Judith but they improve as they get older...sorry Cathy I know you will see this!!!) Thank you for your good wishes & the very same to you, will be lovely to be all four together again!!
Don't worry about not posting...post a few favorites when you get back. You can pick and choose. I remember well this pic from your last trip http://365project.org/happypat/365/2012-03-11, and I hope you have fun with your family!! Have a Merry Christmas and safe travels!!!
@bpaquette Thanks so much Barbara & you have a great memory, will be climbing the track on the farm again but Max is walking himself now of course. I am looking forward to taking some different photos in Singapore!!!
I really do hope that your seating is sorted for the best once you are at the airport. Safe travels! I also want to wish you a magical Christmas with your family. Looking forward to seeing photos from you when you are back!
