Umbrella tree. by happypat

Umbrella tree.

Popped into Lytham today to buy a birthday present for our daughter in law in NZ from Fat Face.
Always a very picturesque place to take pictures but didn't hang about outside as it was a cold, wet, miserable day.

Three good things:
1. Toasted teacake & coffee in Zest at lunchtime.
2. A narrow England victory against Ireland in the Six Nations Rugby this afternoon.
3. Am loving ''The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry'' by Rachel Joyce recommended by @peggysirk.
Love the flint wall..what a well tended looking house and garden, my garden looks appalling at the moment, the wigwams are blown over and the permanent bean structure has at last blown over.............oh well, one day!!Love this shot Pat, lovely

It looks like a really well built house. I love the front garden wall. I agree about the weather. We have snow.

Yes, I'm glad you included that marvellous wall. What a great find with that tree in the centre. I've also read 'Harold Fry' - picked it up when it was the 'book of the month' in our local bookshop, then downloaded it to my Kindle. A real page-turner.

One of our churches has a weeping tree trimmed like this - so no one can hide under it!

What a wonderfully shaped tree...it reminds me of Dr. Seuss's little town of Whoville. And I love the charm of all the old brick in the background. Glad you are enjoying the book, Pat. I thought it was a different, somewhat quirky, story of pain and redemption.

@peggysirk Yes indeed it Peggy, it makes you evaluate your own life I think!!!!!! I am half way through it.
