I took this quickly this morning before the guests arrived down for breakfast.
Busy day but all went well. Had a good sit down this afternoon then I had to go & rescue our next door neighbours who had been for a walk up Nicky Nook & en route had dropped the only set of car keys they had !
Cold & tired they retraced their steps but no sign of them.
No money. no jackets, a cold dog so they were very glad to see me. Keys to the house in the car but luckily I had a spare set!!!!
Three good things:
1. Easter eggs to be indulged in tonight watching The Village.
2. A very sunny Easter Sunday, so much easier for me when the weather is dry & pleasant.
3. Roast beef & Yorkshire pudding in the oven & a bottle of red opened!
4. Had to add a fourth good thing....Andy Murray just won the Sony Open Tennis championship in Miami!!!!
Happy Easter !! so you've had a good day & performed your Good Samaritan act -- poor neighbours --but so lucky of a friend in need!! Your dinner sounds so inviting --bon apetite !!
Well done you got through it!!! I've still got a couple staying but so easy out all the time!! Enjoy the beef and especially the wine!! and sleep well!!
@fannyb Yes all went well Fanny & they were away early for a Christening. The daddies were more work than the kids up for ages drinking wine & laughing, all fine except I couldn't get my table laid before I went to bed & as there were nine of them it meant lots of moving chairs etc. Eight in tonight!!!
Well Pat....I took a picture of one of these today !!!!.......Well actually two bunnies....his and hers .....lovely bokeh and a bunny too nice to eat !

I bet that Lindt bunny rabbits head was beautiful - before or after the bacon and eggs? We had one in the fridge for absolutely ages then got it out yesterday and saw that its useby date was 28/3/13! So - yum!
Oh a busy working Easter Pat! And what a nice host giving them bunnies. I forgot to add Andy into my good things - I had an abundance of them today which is nice but narrowed it down.
Aw I bet they appreciated this gift. Worst nightmare loosing your car keys on a hill. I'm sure it will happen to me one day. Well done for rescuing your friends.
Love your cheerful little guy there ... the dof is beautiful. What a busy day you've had there, Pat. You seem to have an endless supply of energy! I admire your ability to do so much and stay calm ...I am really stressing over the upcoming move. And yes, we do look forward to going back because of friends and family there. But, it's a bittersweet move for me as I like it very much here too. p.s. Your neighbors are so lucky that you had keys. Yay!!

What memories you bring Pat! Nicky Nook! My aunt and uncle had a farm at Nicky Nook (they had a nuber of farms in the Garstang area -Scorton, Bay Horse etc. They also built Daybreak st the side of Burlington's caravans as it was - and Mayfield the cafe a few yards up the A6 - although last time I was up that way the original cafe was unrecognizable from the building I remember. My grandfather drew the plans for it and built it. I still have the original drawings. But Nicky Nook - many wonderful holidays as a child helping with the farm work - and lots of faded old pics. Thsnks for the memories.
