Too busy & no inspiration to find a new photo today so am resorting to a filler I'm afraid.
Taken on last weeks visit to the Lake District while I was waiting for Harry.
I love moss & it is so intricate when you really look closely.
I am beginning to think I enjoy this project almost more for the wonderful diary & stories of peoples lives as for the excellent photos!!!
You are some very talented budding story tellers ....funny too, I have a smile on my face continually some evenings! Thank you all!
Three good things:
1. I am about to sit down & put my feet up for a couple of hours & read my book with a cup of tea.
2. Have invested this morning in another mattress topper for the double bed, they make the beds feel so luxurious. I am gradually putting them on all the beds.
3. The merry B&Bers have left two half full wine bottles ..one white & one red!!!
4. Harry didn't catch me out with April Fools Day this morning!!!
Lovely when they've gone eh?!! Mine left nothing but money!!!! It certainly is hard to drum up any inspiraration by the time you've done rooms etc and then its grey, actually we did have sun this afternoon but was feeling dead lazy!! The narratives are wonderful, we have some very talented writers here jan and Judith stand out, so funny!! Enjoy your lie in tomorrow!!
@fannyb I agree Jan's stories especially are riveting & of course Judith always has a nice bit of history or a good Monty story & you don't do too bad yourself with the odd witty quip Fanny!!
I am tired tonight , have four in for next two nights but haver decided too old to be lugging camp beds about so no more kids unless there is room for them in a bed!! The weather has been wonderful for drying ...such a godsend!
Lovely ,especially enlarged - and I agree I love the chats as much as the photography & I was so conscience of my lack of photography knowledge ( only sooc )when I started !! Anyway the mossy wall looks so rustically rural -- love it
Tow of my favorite things, moss and stone walls. This is a delightful composition, Pat. And I love how you've captured the walkers on the pathway. Love your Four good things...maybe tonight you can switch from reading with a cup of tea to reading with a class of left behind wine. :)
@peggysirk Have had some already Peggy although I am not good with wine these days ...one glass & that's it, happier with a G&T. Just seen a massive big car pile up in Virginia in the fog, it looked horrendous!
Oooh lovely shot Pat - I nearly did something like this with a flint wall today but it really needed moss. And I rememeber the days when you couldn't get shallow DOF - and now look!!
@fannyb@happypat Oh I've just read your comments - blushing now.... :0) I've been a bit boring tonight - too jaded by over-processing - I should go back and juzz it up!! And I agree about Jan - hilarious!
@happypat I was going to use a filler photo of that area as my post today, Pat. I took a photo of the fog along that section of mountainous Interstate highway last year. It can, obviously, be very hazardous. Maybe I'll use it for tomorrow's post.
@judithg That was my one aim in life shallow DOF .....but always aiming for better !! No need to jazz up but you always have a good tale to tell...I must say I do like it when I can relate to my fellow 365ers & I do want to know a little about people I follow.
@judithg@fannyb I've just been chuckling at @jewelsandbinoculars account of lying on the floor to take a photo and a passing ambulance stopping to check she was alright - I sometimes think we don't actually need the photos!
Great shot. I agree with you on the stories. They do not have to be detailed, just enough to give the photo some context. Two bottles of wine is like hitting the lottery to me. G&T sounds great.
You have got the hang of focus on one subject nicely! I've yet to accomplish that!
One good thing, in Airport Lounge in time to have a wine before takeoff!
What a lovely sight...please send some of the cool snow over! I am still baking but not as often as I'd like. Really, I'd love to supply cakes to your B n B haha!
Very nicely done! I love the chatter, too! I see all the wonderful things you have learned about photography along the way - and getting excited about new cameras and lenses, and I applaud you for your devotion!!! I will stick with my little point and shoot because I enjoy it that way..less complicated. This is a great shot - I agree, the people make it.

Sorry for the mass thank you but your comments are much appreciated!!!
Very pretty picture.
