I took my P&S camera into the camera shop in Lancaster today but I'm afraid it's beyond repair......he described it as ''well used'' !!!
While I was there I had a mooch round the castle & was lucky to catch a wedding at the Priory Church which is right next to Lancaster Castle.
I waited until I thought the bridal car was in the perfect position ....would have been better without the tourists waiting to see inside.
Three good things:
1. I missed the car park attendant by about four cars!!!
2. It's raining....I never thought that would be one of my good things!
3. Harry has planted six rows of potatoes.
4. My youngest brother's birthday.
That looks rather splendid indeed Pat!!! Grace and I watched 3 episodes of "Downton" on CD in bed this morning before the football tournament....rather grand!! we enjoyed it very much...3 more for tomo am and then we have finished the set!
@gerry Thank you Gerry, I use my P&S rather more than my DSLR so am not happy.... will have to buy another but which one I wonder!!!! I lied my Cannon 95s but it was able to shoot in RAW & I don't have any interest in that so would rather have a bigger zoom lens. Will have to check out Amazon!!
@happypat or ebay I bought my second lense for my nikon at the shop I bought from it was a shop called Harpers Woking in surrey as I too tryed Amazon first i bought my D5100 with memory card for 419:pound i find sometimes no disrespect Amazon can be on the exspensive side as for the D5100 on Amazon nearly 489 pound .
Great to see this castle in Lancaster - we didn't in the brief time we were there years ago! This is a wonderful old car - the word Packham comes into my mind!
My p&s died when Vivian dropped it on the tiled kitchen floor!! Not sure if I will buy another though, have got so used to hauling the big one around!! Have just lit the fire for b&bs breakfast, no sign of spring down south!! I love Lancaster Castle........well done getting the splendid car!!
lovely shot here Pat, I have a few P&S's that are not that old but are definitely feeling the effects of 365!! and hurrah to missing the car park attendant; that kind of luck doesn't happen often!
@phil_howcroft Oh definitely Phil i can't cart this big camera around all the time, far too conspicuous!!! will try & at least put it in a case in my bag this time!!!
What a fantastic venue for a wedding , a wonderful shot, btw thank you for your comments pat I am afraid I have got behind with 365 busy with Beth & and Jane over to stay.
I just love this! Such a totally British scene. And such a spectacular venue for a wedding. So sorry about your p&s camera, Pat. I'm afraid mine is heading in that direction too.
