We are out tonight visiting Morecambe, some friends are staying in the Womens Institute caravan there so we are off for fish & chips!
Won't be too late back so will check out 365 later.
Three good things:
1. Watching Wimbledon.
2. A very steam cleaned kitchen floor with our new steam cleaner!
3. I have filed all the paid bills & all sorts of paper work lying about the office!
Love the roses & lavender touch --but in this shot I am more interested in the building ,-it's archway lichen covered roof which is in disrepair !!--want's to make me sing * there's a hole in my bucket ,dear Lisa ,dear Lisa " OK !! you may be right -my brain's befuddled these days !!
@beryl No your brain is spot on today Beryl. this building is where I used to have all my calves & I spent a lot of my time in there winter & summer. The entrance is on the other side & it's a beautiful barn with planning permission for a house. The new guy who owns it us not planning to start building here until he has the other two done but the roof is in a bad way.he can't see it as we are on this side so only when he comes round for a cup of tea does it remind him. Pretty laid back sort of guy so don't think he's bothered. there has been barn owls in here at some stage but not now.
Love old barns like this so much character and history. It is a shame that there future is to be turned in to dwellings and not continuing what they were built for. But if they weren't they would just tumble down and that is equally as sad.
So the calves stayed at the B&B? It makes a very pretty photo with the archway and flowers! I wonder what the caravan looks like that belongs to the women's institute - they must be very adventurous!
@judithg Just come back & I was mistaken it's the Mothers Union caravan, very nice it was too!! This steam cleaner only does floors...Vax model.....was quite hard to push, you had to keep the handle down so you weren't pushing down on the floor. You might think a good thing to get your elderly parents for ease of use but I think not!!
