Here is the finished kitchen, well one end of it.
I meant to thank each one of you individually for the great comments & reminiscing on yesterdays photo...I might still if I have time tonight ....they were all lovely & heart warming memories...thank you.
I have taken longer to make the last pair of curtains as they had to be more precisely made lengthways but all up & finished now.
Three good things:
1. The kitchen is finished, |I like it but think I still prefer the blue!!
2. The lane has been cleared of the wheat spill...see other photo...caused a little bit of kerfuffle but all gone quiet now!
3. Some lovely retired farmers staying B&B tonight.
A beautiful make over in cheerful red!! Gorgeous work with the curtains, Pat! And I love the fabric! I can't believe how quickly you pulled this project together. Such a cozy and inviting look to this ace kitchen redo. Well done!

A warm cosy look for winter Pat !!I am sure you are chuffed with yournew look kitchen I noticed your toasting fork hanging by the Aga -We had a similar one at home - does that one extend ? It was lovely toasting in front of the aga !! Happy memories !
@lucypics@quietpurplehaze Thank you so much Lucy & Hazel.....I do love my kitchen...such an important room don't you think? t has been a long time coming this lovely house of mine which is a completely different story I might share with you all one day!!!
One of the chairs looks very close to the aga - is that for comfort or because you don't use it in summer? I like the inside decoration there - nice and bright to go with your lovely new curtains!
Looks like my kind of kitchen! And I think I would spend most of my spare time in the winter curled up in one of the chairs next to the Aga reading or knitting! Bliss!
@maggiemae We have two chairs right up to the Aga maggiemae, Harry sits in the spotty one on the left & mine is the one on the right ...the new one H bought me for our 50th wedding anniversary. We spend a lot of time in here only moving into the sitting room after our tea & sometimes not even then in the summer.
Oh that is so cosy looking! And always nice to have a refreshing of kitchen where we spend so much time! Now I'm trying to work out how to have a break south of the border to come and stay again! And it's so lovely to share life this way after all the years! x
Love the checks, spots, and plaids. Very inviting!! I love to do red for the Christmas season, it makes everything so warm looking. I especially love the flag bunting over the Aga. :)
