The river Wyre is at the top of it's banks at high tide today....you can see the large expanse of river flooding at the top left of the photo & can follow the river all along the edge of the fields. Normally we can't see the river at all so this is unusual.
Luckily we are on a hill looking down so will never be flooded.... our lane is one of the highest spots on the Fylde coast which is very reassuring.
Three good things:
1. Paper hankies.
2. I am feeling a bit better today.Thank you all for your kind thoughts & good wishes.
3. Used Harrys laptop by the fire this afternoon so could stay in the warm to catch up with 365.
The people on the levels in somerset are suffering as I expect you have seen on the news. We luckily are not near there and hopefully not in danger of flooding but I dont want to tempt fate! Lovely photo with those pylons running off into the distance.
Every field you look in seems to be a lake around here - the rain seems endless, doesn't it? Hope you continue to feel better and are soon over your cold.
Oh it's so depressing isn't it and no let up in sight! I like the feel of distance with the receding pylons here. Hope you feel completely well again soon.
Sounds like you're having pretty rough weather at the moment - and a cold too? Thankfully we're out of it all and the weather is pretty good here. Sun is shining here at Nugget Point and we have the most fabulous view. I'm so excited that you're following our travels around NZ.
High tides seem to be causing problems everywhere with rivers and such! It looks a bit dismal out there - good you have a warm fire to sit beside and have an excuse to stay there!
It has been a wet wet week in Nottingham for sure...fab letterbox use Pat
Glad you are feeling better .... fab shot :)
