William & Alex celebrating their birthday today in NZ, doesn't seem five minutes since they were babies!
So proud of them, William is running a farm & milking over 300 cows & also a volunteer fireman & Alex is in her final year at Lincoln University doing an agricultural degree.
A big thing emigrating to the other side of the world, leaving friends & family, our hats off to them!!
Three good things:
1. All grandchildren.
2. The cinema with my friend this afternoon to see That Awkward Moment. The only choice as we had seen most of the others, wouldn't recommend, very lightweight & would be OK if I could have understood more words!!
Enjoyable all the same...we always have a good chat & laugh.
3. Just realised I started my 4th year on 365 today, what did I used to do with my time!!
@bpaquette I am going on the 12th Feb Barbara for a month. I am very lucky & we spend quality time once a year....more than some of my B&B's do & they only live in the same country!!
A nice way to mark your lovely grandchildrens' 21st Pat and nice that you are so proud of them. Many congrats on completing year 3 - I am totally in awe!
@seanoneill Your Sam will have good work ethics the same as my two Sean! An exciting time for him....scary too. Lydia has been all day at Leeds uni today doing an interview & exam to get one of the coveted Speech Therapy places.
@happypat Well I wish Lydia the very best of luck. Thanks, yes Sam works very hard and is a very talented young man. He had me in tears last week when he said that he wanted to do a piece of independent research for his EPQ, of the affect that Dante's Divine Comedy has had on art and literary culture in the 600 years since it was written. I could not have thought of that at his age, ket alone now!! So proud, just like you :-)
Happy Birthday to them! Lovely to feel so proud of them and no doubt looking forward to seeing them soon!
So glad you are enjoying 365 ..............I love the record of life that is so easy to look back on and the three good things is such a positive habit!! xx
Thank goodness for internet and photos! Wish we had a new photo each day from overseas! Well 4th year! That is so impressive - you have kept up and entertained yourself as well as everyone else who loves to see your photos!
PS, no we didn't do Milford Sound, did Doubtful sound instead. Went overnight last night so haven't uploaded the pictures yet. The weather was clear blue skies!
Time does fly, Pat...year four with 365 and those beautiful grand'babies' have turned 21! It sounds like William and Alex have accomplished a great deal in their twenty-one years...I know that you are a very proud grandmother!!!
What a lovely smiley shot :)
My mum emigrated to Rhodesia with my dad when they were married - of course the only way to keep in touch then was by post & telegram which took ages for news to arrive! How lovely that you can share with them like this today!
Happy birthday wishes to William and Alex, you must be so proud of them Pat. well done 3 years on 365 , I really feel like you are a friend with getting to know your family
Lovely - where does the time go. 4th year eh? This is my 5th - yes what did we do? I'm behind with compiling my photobooks though, have only got them for 2010 and 2011!
