Schools out

Lydia & I had a bit of a drive round Lancaster today picking up a camping stove & dropping it off at someone else's house. All for the DOE gold award hike.
The friend lived on Castle Hill opposite the castle so I was able to take a few photos....worth all the trekking round....the traffic was just terrible on the one way system & I was so glad I said I would take her.
Not for a new driver today!

The entrance to Lancaster Castle is on the left.

Three good things:
1. The Masters.
2. I have sewn my button on at last!
3. Looking forward to a lovely weekend with family.... my sister is coming to stay & we have a big party on Sunday at my brothers house.
Love the composition on this one. Lovely lighting and feeling fromn this picture.

Lovely day to be out enjoying yourself. Was reading of a celeb today who went to Lancaster Grammar but I can't remember who now! The brickwork of those Lancaster buildings is very attractive I think.

An informal shot, lovely with the ancient setting and the groups of young people. Glad all your buttons are intact.

@smithak @snaphappi i @khirsch @judithg @ellida @kwiksilver

The castle £ this area of Lancaster on the hill was just lovely today but down below on the one way system it was hell......an accident on one of the ring roads caused mayhem. I took this shot really quickly but was pleased how it turned out so thank you all.
Can't think of anyone famous who went to Lancaster Grammer Judith.

The youngsters will know! When Rachel is home we have to watch one comedy quiz after another - when she's away we don't watch any!

There is a guy down the road who said to me one day. lock your car and I bet you £10 I can open it without using my hands. I didn't believe him but I'm not a betting man so I said no! He said oh well I will do it any way. He walked up to the car and brushed against it with his leg and pop! The car unlocked. I was suspicious that he had some gizmo in his pocket and said as much. He said he hadn't and to prove it held his hands in the air brushed against the car again and it unlocked. Well I was amazed and said how do you do that? It's simple he saiid. I've got my kaki trousers on!

I like the cobbled pathway and the solid stone houses! Very English. You will love having your own side of the family around you for that time.
