I had twelve dogs staying last night. Not in the house I might add.....three vans all lined up fitted out with dog beds in different compartments...these folk are very keen dog owners.
Kirsty had six, I have posted a photo before of her & her dogs, will try & find it.
They are all staying for a competition at the local hatcheries...gun dog stuff.
If Kirsty gets through to the next round she is sleeping on our sofa as there is no room for her tonight.
Twelve dogs & not a peep out of them the whole time!!
Out at a lady farmers do tonight so patchy commenting today!
Three good things:
1. All these dogs in & tonight I have my Russian vet staying for a second week.....all emergencies catered for!
2. Well trained dogs....something we have never had!
3. A gift of Chocolate Oliver's from Bath from one of the doggy B&B's. There is a story that John Lennon of the Beatles once refused to be paid in cash preferring to be paid in Chocolate Oliver's instead!
@motherjane@debbie3108 I'm sorry to say so did Harry! He loved these golden retrievers.........such well behaved dogs! The trouble is ours wouldn't be like that! I have been hoping he doesn't want another dog as they are so tying.....think it will go off him when they leave!
I love the way they are all focused together on something while you take your shot. Certainly well trained. Just love black labs, we had one for many years. They are a tie though. I just give dogs I meet a big fuss which helps make up for not having one now.
@fueast he he Alison......to,tell,you the truth lady farmers are a very staid sort of bunch....I think I am the most trendy dressed there.......no drink at all tonight just a talk & very good supper as you might imagine. I am not a member but go to the open meetings where they raise money. We will be home by ten o'clock!
What wonderful guests to have. I do hope they all have a good days competition. I used to do dog contests (one dog at a time) - agility and obedience mainly, but no matter what the result was, I knew I always took home a winner.
What a handsome lot, Labradors really are beautifully behaved and capable of such a high level of obedience. Beautiful gleaming coats and alert eyes. Great shot
Love seeing this shot of the beautiful dogs! We had two Goldies as one calls them and they were so keen to please - easy to train and always happy! I did obedience with one and agility with the other. You are a popular B&B!
@fueast That's what I thought - very disappointing to hear you are well behaved Pat! Gorgeous doggies - I need to get a van to put Monty in! (Actually he was very quiet last night so can't complain!). Very handy having a vet as part of the service.
