I have been visiting my friend in Lancaster Infirmary who has had a mini stroke.
Another friend went with me so afterwards we called into Booths for a free coffee.
This little girl & her brother were out with Granny & Grandpa for tea. She was peering up at the cakes but couldn't quite see..."pick me up" she cried.
Three good things:
1. You realise life is so precious when a stroke can be so sudden.
2. Alex is on her way.
3. Harry has mended the radiators on both landings which were stone cold last night. I rang the plumber & he said to unscrew the thermostat & push the little nozzle in & out......eureka it worked!
FAV A gorgeous capture Pat -- you have caught just enough of his face and eye to see the glint in his eye as he is desperately trying to stretch himself to full size to see those cakes !
Nice of your plumber to tell you how to fix instead of making you pay for a visit from him! I'm getting paranoid now about strokes - so many of them about! Keep poking my tongue out to make sure I haven't had one!
@maggiemae oh is that the way to check? My friend has lost the sight in her left eye a bit but otherwise has movement & speech. She has sourness round her throat too......high colesteral level too which was probably the cause! A warning sign Maggiemae! Poor girl, has had a terrible two years with breast cancer, depression & now this!
@sarah19@sarah19 We are & so relieved about heating I can tell you though they are a tough lot in NZ regarding heating....central heating is pretty rare although heat pumps more plentiful now. I have never been as cold the first winter I went there.......no double glazing In those days....much more healthy way of living but a very short winter.
this is fabulous Pat. A very adventurous and bold composition. Some might question why hide part of the young child's face, but that's why it works , it leaves us wanting more and asking questions. Top Top shot Pat
Pat this is great you can see the little girl is standing at full stretch and desperate to get higher. I like the way you just show enough of her face for us to able to see her focus and concentration are 100% on the cakes.
