A summer flower transplanted. by happypat

A summer flower transplanted.

We had to pick some jeans Harry had ordered in M&S today so Alex & I wrapped up warmly & braved Blackpool.
First thing we did was venture to the promenade to look at the sea. It would have been much more spectacular if the tide had been in but we had fun braving the wind.
Alex found it rather different from the mid twenties temperatures she had left in NZ.

Three good things:
1. It actually wasn't as cold as we thought once we got away from the streets & onto the front itself.
2. Lunch for two in M&S.
3. I posted the Christmas cards.
Beautiful portrait and momento of a happy day, and I love the sky in the background!

well you are brave, I had no car today and had to travel after my meeting to Lancaster on the train which was bad enough in the wind and cold. I do not feel acclimatised yet after our long summer/ autumn
