I have been bust decorating all day today....we have done two coats of emulsion & I have painted the skirting boards. It looks loads better but I slipped up tonight as I used some of the emulsion on the en suite bit & it's far too dark. I will have to go & buy some white tomorrow & go over all of it including ceiling! It needed doing but I was going to have a day off with my friend to our usual cinema but I have had to cry off! I am pretty tired tonight though...not as energetic as I was!
I had a quick trip out to the letter box to post my uncles birthday card in our box ready for Tony to pick up.....saw the dustbins out, ours is the nearest one. Grey bin day today!
Three good things:
1. Enough emulsion without buying another expensive tin.
2. Fish & chip supper.
3. Brian & Lesley have booked their flights for a visit home.
Nice shot.. Hope the rubbish bin gets emptied someone has mucked up and ours did not go this week.. I bet you are getting so excited about the family coming over.. are both families going to be there at the same time..?
Sounds like you have had a very productive day today, Pat!
And I love the word 'dustbin'...so much more dignified than what we refer to as a 'garbage can' in the US.
@julzmaioro No Julz they aren't....haven't room for them all together for one & Brian & Lesley have to be back for 1st June & then calving plus Alex starts her new job on South Island on 1st June so they will want to get back to see her off. Others are coming end of May before max starts school.
@peggysirk Oh yes I had forgotten you call them garbage cans.....I did think when I posted this that it might be quite interesting to see other countries rubbish!. Next week we have the blue bin for tins & bottles & brown bin for cardboard & paper & then green bin for garden waste. I am worn out tonight to be honest Peggy!
A lovely country-life feel to this shot The buildings the road and the "bins!.
You have had a busy day Pat , don't overdo things and have a good night's rest !
@fueast Really great news Alison....do I detect a decision about the bungalow? What a relief to sell, sometimes it can take ages when you just want to move on! If I was nearer I would give you a hand, saying that I am kna........tonight!
All ours is picked up on the same day - garbage, paper recycling, cans and bottles, and garden waste. Four different trucks. The day changes every time there is a holiday and if I didn't mark it on the calendar I would goof it up. Love our garbage men, they seem to be quite a jovial bunch, and they take everything.
Only you can post a great interesting photo of what happens down your road! Of course, not everyone has beautiful brick not to mention plaster medieval houses to spy in their lens! When you say B & L booking their flights home - is home where you are or where they are?
I can never remember which bin day it is so I go out and look to see which colour other people are putting out. How sad is that!. Well done with the decorating shame you have to go over the ensuite. I did the same with our hall. it just didn't look right and although I could have left it I didn't and I'm so glad I did it again.
@happypat@happypat oh what a shame I'm stuck down south! I'm a dab hand with the circular sa now. I miss three days commenting and Alison ups sticks...
@judithg I think it sounds as though you have been far more daring with your decorating than I have Judith. I must say I am a dab hand with the paint brush & now the roller!

Lovely shot :)
Such a busy day. We have to do some painting, but it is far too hot at the moment.
