Day three & it was up the Empire State Building.
We picked a good morning as it was quite clear & sunny.
I was impressed with all the interior, lots of marble & information on the building work history.
Up in a very fast lift packed like sardines up to the 82nd floor.
Going out onto the viewing area was amazing.....we could see for about 40 miles radius we were told.
Apparently the view from the Rockerfeller Centre tower was better but you have to do the Empire State Building haven't you?
Three good things:
1. Lighter evenings now the clocks have gone forward one hour.
2. A visit from our niece who brought with her a lovely bottle of sparkling raspberry & elderflower wine. It has all gone!
3. A lazy day!
Saw the picture and thought American skyline then saw your name. Hang on a minute .... totally missed realising your impending trip but great to see your daily photo journal. Please keep them coming.
Nice composition and caption to fit. Lovely view of the city, all those famous buildings. The day we planned this was very dull and misty so never got to see this.
Fabulous view. Just think the pigeons get this view every day.
Our clocks go back soon, but not until next week. Winter will be here soon in Australia.
Not too much smog around but probably a bit to stop you getting a picture as good as you did in London! You wouldn't want to have claustrophobia in that lift!
