No I haven't gone to Japan but my grandson Jack is there on holiday at the moment & sending me these wonderful photos so I gave pinched one for today's 365 photo.
This shrine is the head shrine of over 32,000 smaller shrines all over Japan.
Its situated at the base of a mountain named Inari which is the patron saint of business & merchants. Inari is also the God of rice.
These are wild kittens who have made themselves at home in the shrine.
Thanks Jack!
Three good things:
1. So good for young people to travel easily to these fascinating places.
2. BBQ tonight to hear about Lydia's travels interailing round Eurpoe.
3. Haircut today & I'm liking my different style so Far!
Yes - it is great to travel! Too bad there are only so much money to spend on things - would love to have traveled more.
But 365 is great because it opens our eyes to places we can never actually get to.
Nice to travel and never have to leave your chair.. well done Jack. Great light in the kitten. We need pics of the new 'do' .. I'm working on a new 'do'aswell a bit tricky to go too different when it's short.
Thank you everyone, rubbish commenting tonight as we have had visitors & then the Belgian B&Bers came in for a chat, by the time I laid my table for morning the night has gone!
Jack will be pleased with all your lovely comments, he takes a great interest in 365 so thank you on his behalf!
I think he thought you would like the picture of the kitten! But there could be others which show more of the shrine! I'm thinking of getting a haircut too - is yours a lot shorter?
