Happy anniversary to you both, Pat! I'm wondering what colour the flowers were. (We had a few coloured slides taken of our wedding which was a few years later than yours but the main official album was still in b&w.)
@newbank No I knew exactly what you meant Ruth, the young men in those days looked much older than they were & of course more grown up & responsible. Marrying in your early twenties & younger was the norm.
A very Happy Anniversary to you both xx A lovely photo - and the fashion was so different in those days -- the men's hairstyle , wedding wear and every thing in general ,
@jmj we have not done anything special at all today Jennifer, no celebrations or anything. The years go so quickly by that it just seems to be wedding anniversary after wedding anniversary!
@pinkpaintpot We did go to the show Linda but I was t wearing a red coat! I did think I saw you a couple of times but when I looked closer it wasn't you! So wet but we still enjoyed it!
@happypat haha we will meet one day. Re the show I think the pigs would have enjoyed the mud and where were they, warm and cosy and dry on a bed of straw
aw, what a lovely shot of you both. A good looking couple....is he looking deep into your eyes or just can't get his eyes off the rose? Lol (only kidding!) ;-)
Harry's haircut is fabulous and very much of today too ...many footballers wear a style like this and you see it on the streets of nottingham too. Pity we cannot see your face Pat :)
Thank you all for your very kind comments, all of them so welcome!
I agree that in b&w they do have a certain charm.
