We are staying the night at the Bellsfield Hotel in Bo'ness on Lake Windermere.
An evening stroll by the lakeside & all the many swans, geese & ducks were having an early night on the first night since our hour went back.
Dark at 5.30pm but it's been a glorious quiet early winter day.
A bit of a fuzzy photo as the light wasn't good but a glorious view!
The Bellsfield Hotel is a Laura Ashley Hotel & furnished through out with all LA stuff, very nice it is too!
Three good things:
1. The lightest scones we have ever eaten with clotted cream & jam plus a glass of prosseco.
2. Fabulous view over Lake Windermere while eating the above!
3. Looking forward to a meal in the brassiere later after we've watched Strictly Come Dancing results.
4. Thick curtains!!
all sounds wonderful. My first experience of "thick curtains" was when we stayed in the Lakes District with son an family when we visited last year. I'm sure they make a big difference in winter. We have the same lightweight curtains on our bedroom window all year round as I like to look through them at the garden.
It was lovely just walking along the lake tonight. Peaceful after a busy weekend of B&B, shoe on the other foot tonight! Looking forward to breakfast!
