I looked out of my bedroom window the other morning just in time to see Wilf walking home after visiting Harry.
I don't like him coming to the back door because our Lily is frightened of him even though he is a really soft cat. He sits by the back door waitng for soft Harry to feed him titbits.
So cold today I am staying inside!
Three good things:
1. Later today we have two Canadian girls coming to stay for two nights. One of them is the daughter of our exchange Young Farmers girl back in the 1980's. I have kept in touch with Jane & now her daughter is visiting. I pick them up at some railway station tonight.
2. Vest back on again, 'don't cast a clout till May is out' so they say!
3. Socks.
The trees are budding out all over Pat , but such cold winds again -- I agree with you electric blanket on to warm the bed last night ,and bed socks !!
At first I thought that Wilf was a guy who had fallen asleep in the kitchen and was walking home, then I saw the puss! Lawn looks nicely mowed. Never heard of that old saying but looked it up and can add: "Till hawthorne is out"!
@maggiemae The front lawn is full of moss Maggie, it disappears after a while but it's really noticeable from upstairs. Yes I have heard that extra bit but had forgotten.
This is an adorable story and a sweet capture of Wilf. Sounds like he has a good thing going with Harry. Hope the spring temps start to warm up for you, Pat. It's been unusually cool on this side of the pond as well. Enjoy your B&B guests! How wonderful to have a second generation coming to stay. A testament to your gracious hospitality and personality.
Ah OK, thank you. I've been photographing elm blossom and from a distance your trees looked a bit the same.
