Rural post

In the very heart of the Lake District this rural post box stood out se well against the dry stone wall & distant Langdale peaks,

Three good things:
1. A good nights sleep.
2. Much warmer today.
3. Harry has pressure washed the outside furniture getting rid of all that green moss.
What a lovely scene with that pop of red against all that warm tones of grey of the dry stone wall and the distant hills !

Sounds as if Harry has had a good day doing a job that should be done here !!

Nice shot, Pat. I love dry stone walls. I took many pictures of these walls while on vacation in the UK. Too long ago...

This is a high wall but not so high that you can't see those great mountains/hills over there. That Pressure hose is just the best even though it might be only once a year!

@maggiemae Yes he uses it on them every spring, must say they do look better but he says the table is falling to bits! It was strong enough a couple of weeks ago when I stood on it to,photograph the newly visible Bkackpool tower!

@gijsje The girls were fascinated that they had no mortar in at all & stood up by themselves!
