Our youngest son Anthony has been part of a volunteer team searching for two men missing in the Tongaririo National Park for the last six days.
Conditions are difficult, muddy, wet & cold but no luck yet.
Hopes must be fading by now as it's winter & with some snow.
Very proud of him for being a member of this essential service!
Three good things:
1. Volunteers
2. Starbucks when you're wanting a hot coffee.
3. Bruce Forsyth who has sadly died today, he gave much pleasure over his lifetime on stages & screen.

Wow great that Ants is one of the Volunteers the conditions sound pretty rough down there for them..
I did a Bruce Forsyth quote yesterday arvo to my son... and then had to explain myself.. hadn't thought about him for years...
A happy face , nice to have your son doing worthwhile voluntary work out in all sorts of weather I hope the men will be found soon to put an end to the anguish whether they are still alive or not !
@busylady Yes it's great that there are so many willing to give up some days pay & commitments to volunteer. I would be so glad if someone went out searching for our loved ones though!
