Our little Finn is four today! Do you recognise the baby you minded once while we ate our lunch @julzmaioro@dide?
We spoke to him on Skype this morning & his little head was bobbing up & down as he rode on his new space hopper, can anyone remember those things?
He has had a lovely day, well few days as it's the start of the long summer holiday in NZ so lots of picnicking, kayaking on Lake Taupo & partying with friends over last weekend.
We miss Finn on his birthday but lovely to see this little smiling sweetie, it's a hard time of the year with family the other side of the world!
Six grandchildren & only one in the UK!
Three good things:
1. Modern methods of communication!
2. Our niece had a very lucky escape when a car ploughed into the front room of her house in Weybourne Norfolk on Sunday evening. A red VW car completely came through the wall into her lounge, luckily she was at her mum & dads! Ten police cars, 3 fire & rescue, 3 ambulances & Urban Search & rescue plus major incident team. Speed & drink......
3. All presents wrapped.
Many happy returns to Finn - looks a happy little chap and shares a birthday day with me. So pleased to hear your niece is alright. What a lucky escape.
As I scrolled up and saw Finn face .. I thought woe he's growing o to a big boy.. yes I can imagine how hard it is for you especially at Christmas with all the Grandchildren so far away..
Love moon hoppers.. kids use to have so much fun.. and pocco sticks ...
Thank you all for your lovely comments & birthday wishes for Finn. Mum will be able to read these comments & I know will be thankful for your sweet comments!
Oh dear I did not finnish reading all you 3 good things this am as my phone went flat .. you niece was very lucky .. I see someone else had a lucky excape today when coming home from town a car had smashed through a house fence but did not get as far as the house ... some people never learn ... but a huge inconvenience for your niece..
@onewing it will be months Babs, they are having to re house her. Not her house luckily but she's hoping when they repair there will be good things like double glazing & better heating!! @julzmaioro speeding cars do such damage! Normally would have been home sitting in that room at 9.30 at night but because she had a cold was at mum & dads getting a bit of TLC.
Oh Pat I'm in tears thinking of all your lovely grandchildren in NZ. So glad your niece is safe but what a shock to come home to and just before Christmas.

What a shock to come home to
@busylady It was Judith. The police rang so her & her dad went to look, saw the flashing lights in the distance! Sitting room is a mess full of swabs syringes etc. Not too good a deal either as she has to still pay bills & rent but they will pay her rent fir somewhere else but rents are up so she will, definitely be out of pocket. Might cut her losses & say she doesn't want to go back! New facilities, double glazing probably so rent will go up anyway! She has had a bad year!
@busylady Got the mist gorgeous What's ap video this morning of Finn chatting about cats. He has been promised a kitten when they move into their new house next year.
Happy Birthday to Finn- what a happy little face.....just want to hug him!
World feels too big at this time of year.
David and family had 2 hours at Heathrow on way to USA- oh I so wanted to be there.
@sarah19 oh wow that would be so near yet so far!! Pity they couldn't fly via Glasgow! It's manageable having grown up kids away but little ones are harder. Just watched a video of our two on bikes yesterday, Finn has a new bike seat for his birthday. They are tucked up in their beds with stockings now hopefully!

Wow, drama for your niece - what a scary thing to have happen. Lucky she wasn't home - could have been very nasty.
I hope your nieces house is fixed for Christmas, how scary for everyone. Hope nobody was seriously injured in the accident.

Yes it's the smile isn't it! ❤️
