I love looking down these narrow passages, they really attract me & sometimes you look into another world.
This was the case in this little ginnel, passage, weind whatever name your part of the country uses.
Kirkby Lonsdale.
Three good things:
1. Jack climbed Mount Fuji during the night, some amazing photos to see!
2. Warm enough to sit out again.
3. Lovely engagement party last night!
Well framed shot.. it reminds me of a shot I took in Queenstown when I first got into photography.. I had the bonus of a nice red vespa parked at the end..
@beryl You're like me Beryl, always looking down passages for something unusual! Had to be quick to catch the dog hence the shortfall at this end of passage.
There would be a building on top of this passage! I wonder why they were constructed - to allow the horse and cart to get inside some courtyard or building, perhaps! Nice to see something like this - whats at the end?
I'd call it a ginnel or a snickelway, but that's probably because I lived in York at one time! I love the framing of these little places. this is a super shot.
@maggiemae I should have gone right to the end, a restaurant & a gallery it said on the sign. We were short of time on our car park ticket but will explore next time!
This is wonderful, it’s always fun to look through to the next street. I guess passageway is the term I would know. Even though I quite like “snickelway”!
Neat lights on the ceiling.
A very pretty scene!
