Such lovely tributes to our fallen soldiers on 365 today.
I haven’t been anywhere so rooted back for a suitable photo for Remembrance Sunday.
Three good things:
1. Such wonderful tributes to our fallen hero’s from every corner of Great Britain.
2. We are free because of them.
3. A lovely day by the fire with great TV, the papers & my book & a pizza for tea......an easy Sunday!
@beryl Thank you Beryl. @louannwarren Good to be quiet & re group! @julzmaioro The world has really appreciated all our war hero’s both men & women. @graemestevens Thank you Graeme, an oldie pulled out of the hat!
I have just been glued to the TV watching the film by Peter Jackson, They Shall Not Grow Old. Wonder if anyone else just seen it, truly incredible footage all filmed on the battle field & surrounding. Footage re worked & colour added. So many dead bodies, it was un believable, if you can watch it. Really brought the horrors of war home to you.
@maggiemae It starts off slow with small black & white usual type war memories that get gradually larger then all of a sudden they change to clearer & colour. Wow!
Love this photo. I loved all the different remembrance day programmes on TV....so many different ways to express how we must not forget. Allan told me about the programme you mention. Not sure if he watched it.....I was off to bed early.
