These hens belong to the house opposite but spend most of their time in our garden eating under the bird table, sitting in the wood or resting on the front garden table.
They strut about taunting our hens who are behind the fence & cant roam exactly where they please.
The pale one is our favourite, she has taken the place of dear old Ginger.
So sad to hear of the sudden death of Dianne Oxbury today.....such a shock! She was our weather girl on Look North West every night!
Three good things:
1. A really enjoyable visit from my cousin who came to stay overnight.
2. I met one of the sisters who have been developing the big prominent house in the centre of the village over the last three years.
3. Sweet grapes.
Obviously they can fly. If you didn't want them, you could suggest that their owner clip their wings! Sad to read about Diane - she learnt about her illness in the New Year - what on earth would kill yo so quickly!
@maggiemae I wondered that Maggie, she was looking well & fit in November doing a walk for charity, it’s unbelievable....a very vicious & agressive cancer if somewhere. Her fellow presenters were very upset tonight on Look North. They don’t fly, they walk & jump everywhere!
